C600 Sport and 650 GT

A selection of Australian motorcycle and car journalists were gathered in the 2000 Olympic city to be fully briefed on the two scooters and to put them to the test through the urban environment, as well as up and down the coast and mountain roads.

The event started with breakfast in the quaint seaside village of Bronte, before heading off for a day of riding under the guidance of BMW Motorrad Australia Marketing Manager, Miles Davis and his team. Down the magnificent coastal route the journalistic peloton made its way before heading up into twisting forest roads that follow the line of Australia’s sandy edge. The technical aspects of the scooters were explained in detail including the the dynamic chassis and the smooth power delivery of the twin-cylinder motor and continuously variable transmission gearbox.

Urban Mobility is far more than just the ability to ride in the city, it is a new answer to riding in all areas with all the practical attributes a scooter can provide.the journalists headed home to various parts of the Big Brown Land, it was clear that they were all impressed with the quality and dynamics of the scooters. What was also apparent was even though they both share the same motor and chassis, they have distinctly individual riding characteristics. While most of the America and Europe are now firmly stuck in the grips of winter, it’s Summer in Australia and it’s great to see the C600 Sport and C650GT being enjoyed by riders in the southern hemisphere.

honda city engine specifications

Honda city engine specifications

The Honda City is now in its third generation, and has been launched in countries such as Singapore, Thailand and India. In line with the global economic outlook as well as global fuel prices, manufacturers have been downsizing their cars and the new City makes a perfect compact sedan in the Honda line-up slotted in under the Civic for world markets. It is considered to be a world car now, as it has also been recently revealed that the City will also be sold in Europe.

Honda calls the design concept of the new Honda City the “arrowshot”, as you can see from the sketch above. The car seems to concentrate all its forces on a point at a front, while the rear has a raised deck lid for a more upright stance.

The front end of the car looks like it was lifted off the European Civic hatchback, with the grille from the Honda FCX Clarity. It looks quite concept-car-like, and I would say Honda was quite brave to have pulled this one off. I think there will be quite a few people who will be turned off by the Optimus Prime futuristic look on the front end .

The first generation Honda City (not including the old little car that also came with a turbocharged engine) was designed as an ASEAN car that came with engines such as the 1.5 litre SOHC VTEC engine.

The second generation is the City that is currently sold in Malaysia, and while it was a solid offering in terms of drivability, fuel economy and performance, it had one major problem – its looks

 Interior

There are two colour schemes – one beige and one black. Both will likely be used by Honda Malaysia, with the black for a high-spec or sports-specced version of the car and a beige one for the other. The black interior uses black for all the plastic parts while the fabric is in a purplish-black colour. The beige interior uses a grayish-beige tone for the plastic parts while the fabrics are done in beige with yellow overtones.

As a result, engine knock is reduced, which means more aggressive ignition timings can automatically be used, which can be felt with an increase in low-end torque. Torque is further enhanced with the adoption of a resonator chamber in the intake manifold.

most famous car in the world

That is reckoned that half of the world's population would recognize a James Bond Aston Martin DB5.
Author David Worrell likely hit  the nail on the head when he entitled a book about the fictional spy's car The most famous car in the world.

model in Casino Royale, MI6 revealed that 007 would also return to an old friend in the new film. Two original DB5s will be shipped to the Bahamas, where location shooting with Daniel Craig is expected to begin next month.

The other two cars were built for the production company as promotional cars, travelling the world promoting the two movies.

In 1968, Aston Martin stripped it of all of its gadgets and sold it to Gavin Keyzar as a used car displaying 50,000 miles on the odometer. A year later, Keyzar had a company in the south of England reinstall all the gadgets to capitalize on the car's history. In 1968, Aston Martin stripped it of all of its gadgets and sold it to Gavin Keyzar as a used car displaying 50,000 miles on the odometer. A year later, Keyzar had a company in the south of England reinstall all the gadgets to capitalize on the car's history.

In 1997, the car was stolen from an aircraft hangar in Boca Raton, Fla. The circumstances of the theft were very suspicious. The car has never been seen since, and I suspect that it was destroyed.

After four months of having fun with it, Luscombe-Whyte advertised the car in the Times newspaper in London. Frank Baker of Vancouver made him an offer he could not refuse: $21,600 and an all-expenses-paid trip on the QE2 to New York.

The car spent the next 13 years on display outside Baker's Attic Restaurant in West Vancouver. Baker fell upon hard times in the early '80s and sold the car to Alf Spence.

No other car has attracted so much attention for a combined 13 minutes of footage.

2013 Dodge Dart R/T

Most of the new front-wheel-drive Dart models go on sale this summer, But the fastest of the breed, the R/T, holds off for a fall launch.

Like its less muscular brethren, the R/T rides on a Fiat chassis borrowed from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, with a fully independent suspension. We expect that suspension to be a little lower and stiffer in the R/T. The car will get the most horsepower of the lot, with a 184-hp 2.4-liter four under the hood.

if the R/T will come with only a six-speed manual or with a dual-clutch automatic as well. We do know that the R/T, like the Sonic RS, is going to face stiff competition from slightly pricier models, including the Ford Focus ST, the expected Fiesta ST, and the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ. Even if these sporty cars are bunched around $25,000, slightly above the Dart R/T, their performance chops could put a pinch on sales of the Dodge

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

the Veloster lacks the performance cred to back up its killer looks. But that will change once this 201-hp version hits the streets. The 45 percent boost in horsepower has most folks taking a second look at the Veloster, and hoping this Turbo is a signal that Hyundai is getting as serious about performance as it has been about quality and design over the last few years.
the stonking 1.6-liter motor with dual exhaust notwithstanding. Word is the Veloster Turbo gets the same suspension, which is disappointing. The stock Veloster is fun but stiff-kneed and less refined when compared to better-bred sporty cars like VW's GTI—or the Subaru BRZ, which is only somewhat costlier than what we're expecting to see from the Veloster Turbo. Also, ask Mini engineers about controlling torque steer in a 200-hp car with a short wheelbase. That, too, has probably made Hyundai sweat.

The world's fastest BMW coupe?

G-Power crew is constantly striving to produce the most insane BMWs on the planet, combining forced induction with thoroughly revised suspensions and aerodynamics to attain completely unreasonable speeds.

In addition to the twin superchargers and bespoke body-kit, G-Power fitted the CS with carbon ceramic brakes at all four corners, with the front discs measuring in at 380mm and clamped by six-piston calipers. A coil-over suspension with nine adjustable settings joins front and rear anti-roll bars, and for a scant 390,000 euros, it can be yours. All the details can be found in the press release below the fold.

The starting basis for this project is the currently most exclusive model in the BMW product range, the BMW M6. Due to the combination of this fantastic basis with the technical innovative products of G-POWER, it was able to create a sports car of superlatives.

Further characteristics of the G-POWER M6 HURRICANE CS is the multipart widebody kit, the high performance Carbon-Ceramic break system, the individually adjustable suspension kit and last but not least the nifty 21 inch G-POWER wheels with MICHELIN tyres.

For this project, the redesigned twin supercharger system of the world record car for the fastrevving V10 was used. Compared to the standard system, both belt-driven ASA T1-313 superchargers, each providing charge air for one cylinder bank, were replaced by larger ASA T1-316 models. They have the capacity to increase the volume of charge air by up to 25 percent but only a fraction of that was utilized in this engine. The air volume these chargers are capable of would theoretically be sufficient for a rated power output in excess of 900 hp.

In addition to the most powerful BMW engine ever to power a street-legal BMW, favorable aerodynamic properties were of elementary importance. The needed body kit has to fulfill to function at once. First of all it has to generate enough down force to keep the G-POWER M6 HURRICANE CS on the ground at speeds of more than 300 km/h and secondly it responsible for transform the standard BMW M6 into a super sports car.

bmw history and growth in different periods

BMW history and growth in different periods

                              BMW IN 1913

BMW started as a manufacturer of aircraft engines. In Ocotber 1913 Karl Friedrich Rapp establishes "Rapp-Motorenwerke" in a former bicycle factory near Munich. Rapp was an engineer who arise through thr Daimler system and
"Rapp-Motorenwerke" was set up asa a subsidiary of "Flugwerk", an airplane maker.  He starts manufacturing his own aircraft engines but unfortunately they suffered form problems with vibrations.

                            BMW IN 1916

Franz-Josef Popp, who was an Austrian engineer, directed Rapp's business. Franz-Josef Popp was securing the all-importnt military contracts. he tranformed then the existing company into "Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH". BMW formally recognizes its birthday as March 7, 1916. Shortly after the merge, Popp realized that the company expanded too quickly and they needed financial help.

  BMW IN 1919

BMW turned to boat and truck engines and farming equipment. Meanwhile, in    secret, Popp continued to work with his engineering director Friz on aircraft engines.
A successor for the Type IIIa engine is born. It is named naturally Type IV. With this engine, Franz Zeno Diemer sets an altitude record of 9,760 metres (32,013 ft).

List of world fastest cars

 List of world fastest cars

1. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport: This is one of the fastest production made road car as an American debut in 2010 and went to the production towards the end of 2010.  At each of the first five times it was sold out at an cost of 2.4 million dollars this world record editions is replica of the car that clocked 267.9 miles per hour at Volkswagens Ehra-Lessien test tracks in Germany.

With output bumped up from 1,001 horsepower to 1,200 horsepower, torque swelling to 1,106 pound-feet and a revised aerodynamic kit, Raphanel managed runs of 265.9 and 269.8 mph for an average terminal velocity of 267.81 mph and a new world record for a production car. Bugatti has created what is likely to be the ultimate version of its world-beating hypercar: the Super Sports. Bugatti sent its official test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel out on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval with the first Super Sports to see just what it could do.

2. Hennessey Venom GT:  Hennessey Performance Engineering is top and so modified than other engines  and this pushed this car towards perfection and the user can experience the best with this ultra sleek super automobile, On first glance, the Venom GT looks like the Lotus Exige. The Venom is an explosive fusion of British flair and American power.

The 2011 Hennessey Venom GT received a make-over. As far as its design goes, the Venom GT Spyder will start off with the Lotus Elise base and will follow along the same extreme design lines as its Coupe sibling. We imagine it will also feature the same active aero system with adjustable rear wing that will deploy under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack.

3. SSC Ultimate Aero: Numerous ways are there that one can define the SSC Ultimate Aero because it is used to be a time that it is indeed the ultimate. Known for world fastest car during 2007 to 2010 is also one of the boldest automotive creations ever made.
It is founded by Jerod Shelby and by no means connected to the legendary Carroll Shelby, Jerod somehow managed to create a legend of his own.

There's also now video of the car being unveiled for a select few individuals during the Pebble Beach Concours that was just posted to YouTube. In it, you can see the silver Saab Castiota drove around in during the festivities. The video also shows company founder Jarrod Shelby saying they'll have full-scale running prototypes mid-year 2011. He also goes on to promise the design "will not get watered down.

4. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo:  The tuner of American cars, particularly the fords is Steve Saleen  and during the 1990s, he developed a concept  and his goal was to make a true American supercar came out that ever come out of American soil. On its release in 2002, it was one of the most technically advanced cars in the world and also the only American street-legal car that packs over 500 horsepower in stock trim.

This is steering that makes a Porsche Cayman S feel sluggish, and you certainly don't want to rely on one hand to control the S7 while you yak on a cell phone in your other. But after a day behind the wheel, it became second nature while retaining its magically quick moves.

 5. Koenigsegg CCX:  first appeared during the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, is so named because this is an acronym that stands for Competition Coupe X, with the X marking the 10 years since the first CC car was developed in 1996.But the X could have stood for another word:

 6. McLaren F1. Due to its impeccable engineering in its time, it was created and it was Designer in name of Gordon Murray, who designed Formula 1 cars for both Brabham and McLaren. When you see its blue print, its quite simple and streamlined.
